Re-Elect Our Councillor Pat Saito

Leadership. Integrity. Experience.

Photo of PatIt is a privilege to be your Councillor since 1991.  Together we have built a great community and city.  This has been a true team effort and as we move into the future, I want to keep working with you so that we can do even more.

I am proud of my record for getting things done on your behalf and I continue to be a strong voice for you at the City and Region.

Two of my key key priorities are road and community safety. Having been the founding Councillor for both Safe City Mississauga and the Road Safety Committee, I have spearheaded numerous campaigns and programs that have helped make our neighbourhoods and our roads safer for all.  I am proud to have been recognized with awards both locally by Peel Police and internationally by the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners and the Ontario Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Organization for my work in crime prevention.  I was also on the team that was awarded an award by the OPP for road safety initiatives.  As the GTA is faced with a large increase in violent crime, I have taken steps to meet with Council and the police and our MPs and MPPs so we can work together to find solutions to this new and very worrisome trend.

I have been very successful in helping to boost our economy by bringing thousands of new jobs to Ward 9 through my work on the Economic Development Advisory Board.  I continue to work closely with the businesses in the ward to ensure they remain healthy.  My work as Chair of the Mississauga Tourism Board has ensured that Mississauga is becoming a popular place to visit and by playing an integral role in bringing the hotel tourism tax to the city, I have ensured additional revenue to fund tourism programs and so reduce the dependency on property taxes.

I manage your tax dollars efficiently, bringing you the services you need at the lowest cost and have held both live and live streamed budget town halls to get your input.

As we face new pressures, we need our city to remain healthy and strong.  We need experienced and knowledgeable representatives on Council to make sound and well informed decisions.  I bring that experience to the job along with my proven record of getting things done.

Please read where I stand on the issues that face us all.

I offer you my commitment to continue to work hard on your behalf as your Councillor. Thank you for your ongoing support and I hope you will give me your vote again on October 22.

Yours truly,

Pat Addresses What Matters to Ward 9

Your Ward 9 Councillor Since 1991

Pat Saito was first elected to Council in the City of Mississauga and Region of Peel in 1991. Prior to her election, Pat worked for 5 years as a Public Affairs Officer for the City.

Pat believes that in order to be an effective member of Council, you have to know your community and be involved in all aspects of its life. This, along with a wide range of involvement on various committees and boards gives Pat the perspective needed to make the right decisions at Council.

Pat has a long history of community involvement in Ward 9 and in the City of Mississauga and Region of Peel. It is this experience that enables Pat to represent Ward 9 to the fullest.
